Compensar requested the liquidation of its EPS from Supersalud

After thirty years of service, Compensar requested its voluntary retirement and liquidation from the Health Superintendency. This was announced by the company that for many years has accompanied Colombians through a statement in which it expresses the reasons why it made this important decision.

“After more than 30 years of unwavering commitment to serving the health of millions of Colombians, through its Compensar EPS program; This Thursday, April 4, 2023, the Fund filed a letter with the National Health Superintendency, requesting approval to completely and voluntarily withdraw said program from the Social Health Security System.”

After the intervention of the State in recent days to other health service providing companies such as Sanitas and Nueva EPS, the outlook for these entities becomes uncertain.

“This decision is due to the complex financial situation that the health system in Colombia is going through. Fact that considerably affected the viability and sustainability of the program
Compensar EPS, to the point of not allowing it to guarantee service to its members under the conditions of quality and opportunity that have always characterized Compensar,” he noted.
