JAKARTA – PT Pertamina (Persero) through its subsidiary, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga decided not to increase fuel prices Non-Subsidies in June 2024. This was done by Pertamina, even though world oil prices showed an upward trend and the rupiah exchange rate against the United States dollar (USD) weakened.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said the decision not to change fuel prices refers to several aspects listed in ESDM Ministerial Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 concerning the formulation of prices for JBU or non-subsidized fuel. In this regulation, the calculation of the fuel price formulation is influenced, among other things, by the US dollar and MOPS exchange rates.

“The adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices does refer to regulations. However, in the current conditions we support the Government’s efforts to maintain economic stability,” explained Irto in a written statement, Friday (31/5/2024) evening.
