Company repays financing ahead of schedule in Huíla

Last December, the company Jardins da Yoba, from Lubango, in Huíla, reimbursed the amount of 60 million Kwanzas of the credit received from the Development Bank of Angola (BDA), within the framework of economic relief measures, motivated by covid -19, around five months after the request was made to the bank.

According to ANGOP, the company received the financing at the end of July 2020 and repaid it a year and a half before the end of the deadline, becoming the first, in the country, to pay the money.

According to the company’s director, the money was used to purchase 150 tons of corn transformed into flour and feed, as well as 50 tons of beans, goods already placed on the market. He also stated that with the process they managed to obtain revenue that was expected for the operation and with that they decided to reimburse the BDA in full.

The province of Huíla has 41 projects approved, within the scope of economic relief measures, of which 17 have already been disbursed, worth eight billion and 477 million kwanzas.

The approved projects are related to the sectors of agriculture, commerce and distribution, manufacturing industry, service provision, livestock, food and beverage industry, geological resources, aquaculture and fishing.
