The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (Faecys) together with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Argentine Commercial Entities (Udeca) finally signed this Friday the joint agreement corresponding to the 2023 financial year for the activity of commercial employees, and they also agreed to reopen negotiations in March.
They stipulated a non-salary increase of 17.6% in basic salaries starting in February 2024, in addition to a remuneration increase of 11%. In this way, the base salary for a commercial employee, with perfect attendance, amounts to $658,000.
Armando Cavalierigeneral secretary of Faecys, expressed in this regard: “In this very complex context, it is imperative to secure monthly agreements to guarantee salary protection against the scourge of inflation and protect the income of workers. We will continue negotiating month by month.”
The joint agreement, signed in the Ministry of Labor of the Ministry of Human Capital of the Nation, refers to the joint agreement of Commercial Employees corresponding to the period from April 2023 to March 2024.
Stipulated with effect from February 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024, both parties committed to meeting again in March 2024 to evaluate possible economic variations.

The increases established in the agreement in question are not mandatory for salary agreements that may be concluded within the city of Río Grande, province of Tierra del Fuego, although the amounts resulting from the agreed increases will constitute the conventional minimum wage in force once once approved.
