“Colonel” Markov was late and could not take the oath as a deputy – 2024-06-21 23:38:41

The face of “Greatness” “Colonel” Nikolay Markov was late for the first parliamentary session of the new parliament by about 20 minutes and was unable to take the oath. He entered the hall for a moment, then left.

He explained to the media that he could not stay because he had not taken the oath and he would check what the procedure would be from now on. He could not say any legislative proposal the party would propose.

Although the absence from the oath is not a precedent, the quaestors in the parliament specified for BGNES that in the next meeting an extraordinary item can be included in the agenda and Markov can be sworn in. Today, however, he cannot vote and enter the plenary hall anymore.

When asked if the party would support Raya Nazaryan from GERB-SDS for the Speaker of the National Assembly, Markov replied that they had not heard from Velichie what the intentions of the first political force were. He emphasized that GERB leader Boyko Borisov refused to meet with him after Markov refused to talk to the negotiating team.

Markov admitted that he is not yet the leader of Velichie and explained that a procedure is underway to register him as such.
