Colombian pride! Mayra Ramírez nominated for the Golden Ball

Giráldez could defend the award against the other candidates: the American national team coach and former Chelsea coach, Emma Hayes; the England manager, Sarina Wiegman; Benfica coach Filipa Patao; Brazilian coach and former Corinthians player Arthur Elias; and the former coach of Olympique Lyon and current Chelsea coach Sonia Bompastor.

In addition, Barça will also be fighting for the award for best club, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, New York Gotham and Olympique Lyon as rivals.
