Collective edition approaching “education and translation”

A new collective book entitled “Educational Sciences and Translation: Reality and Prospects” was published by the “Educational Notebooks” magazine, collective book series No. 02, at the end of last July. It includes a number of scientific articles by researchers specializing in educational sciences and didactics issues related to translation and its future prospects. It was coordinated by Dr. Al-Siddiq Al-Sadiq Al-Amari, the educational inspector for primary education, Salah Nadim, and Dr. Rashid Bin Sayed.

In the introduction by Al-Sadiqi Al-Amari, the magazine’s director and editor-in-chief, he stated that “the differences in cultures and religious, social, economic and political references of peoples stand as an obstacle to achieving a complete translation of the original text in educational sciences in particular, given that translation is considered a second betrayal of the original writing, because it concerns a cultural text that carries charges and values ​​that require the principle of adaptation and scientific integrity. Therefore, the researcher carrying out a translation project in educational sciences issues must be aware of the ethical and theoretical backgrounds of society, and of science, its principles and methods, especially the science of translation and its literature. He must also be proficient in the sciences of languages ​​and communication, aware of the integrations and intersections between sciences and specializations, and the limits of communication between them, especially with regard to the value system.”

Al-Sadiqi Al-Amari added, “When a term becomes ambiguous and vague to the reader of the translated text in educational sciences, this is directly reflected in the teaching and learning process in theory and practice, as the intended meaning changes or becomes vague and ambiguous, because the educational actor must initially be familiar with the terms and concepts and their content in the context in which they appear in order to be able to understand, comprehend and employ them in similar contexts correctly.”

For reference, the “Educational Notebooks” magazine is a refereed quarterly scientific magazine specializing in the sociology of education, published in Arabic, and managed and edited by Al-Sadiqi Al-Amari. The magazine’s editorial board and scientific committee consist of an elite group of professors and researchers specialized in the fields of educational sciences, educational psychology, sociology of education, sociology, psychology, philosophy, anthropology, modern literature, theater, performing arts, Arabic language, linguistics, curricula and teaching methods of Islamic education, and didactics of the Arabic language. The magazine is considered a partner of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research in Morocco.
