The accumulated collection of the year of the National Directorate of Tax Income (DNIT) reached between January and May 18,172,526 million collection Guarani, exceeding 9.1% registered in the same period of time of the previous year. The collection improvement was given both in internal and customs taxes.
According to the report updated on Monday by the DNIT, between January and May of this year, 11,018,000 million Guarani were collected through internal taxes, a 6.6% growth experienced over the first five months of last year.
Regarding the income from customs taxes, at the close of the fifth month 7,154,526 million Guarani were entered, exceeding 13.4% to what was registered between January and May last year.
Together, adding both sources of collection, the DNIT registered a positive difference of 1,521,138 million Guarani in the first five months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
In May, the DNIT raised ₲ 4,719,999 million, which represents a growth of 7.0% compared to the same month of the year 2024.
The General Internal Tax Management raised a total of ₲. 3,154,718 million (USD 396 million1), which represents an interannual variation of 5.4%, equivalent to ₲ 162,818 million (USD 20.5 million) more.
The General Management of Customs for its part registered a cash collection of ₲. 1,565,281 million (USD 197 million), obtaining an interannual variation of 10.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, equivalent to ₲ 147,809 million (USD 18.6 million) more.
The growth of the month of May of internal taxes is mainly explained by the payments made by the Commerce sector, followed by construction, services to companies, telecommunications, information and communication.
In relation to the growth of the collection of customs taxes between the items that positively influenced collection, they stand out: computer science and telecommunications, fuels and other products derived from oil and vehicles.
