De Bilt – Winter temperatures are not over yet. After a night of frost between 4 and 8 degrees, Thursday started out sunny in most places, but slippery conditions lurked, Weeronline reports. The yellow code applies to the north-east of the country from the afternoon.
Already in the early morning the north of the country had to deal with clouds and humid air coming from the sea. As a result, locally it can become slippery, especially in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. The maximum temperature varies from 5 degrees in the northwestern coastal area to just one degree in southern Limburg.
Regeneration
In the afternoon and evening some drizzle may fall from the clouds. Due to the cold ground, this precipitation can make roads slippery in the north, east and west.
In the north-east of the country, due to the risk of slippery conditions, the yellow code will be applied starting from Thursday at 3pm, reports the KNMI. The code was declared for the provinces of Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. It will remain in effect until Friday morning.
