The Plenary Session of the National Electoral Council (CNE) approved this Monday, February 26, 2024, the call for the Referendum and Popular Consultation which will take place on Sunday, April 21.
In this process, citizens must speak out on 11 questions:
- 5 of Referendum, of which one corresponds to partial reform and four to constitutional amendment
The electoral authorities also approved the Electoral Expenditure Limit for the 2024 Referendum and Popular Consultation in an amount of $2,730,858.20 for each option.
According to the current calendar, the social and political organizations of national level interested in participating must register from February 28 to March 4, 2024.
The budget that amounts to 60,022,933.86 dollars for technology expenses, ballot printing, personnel payment, among others, it has already been approved.
For the Referendum and Popular Consultation they are enabled 13,654,291 voters according to the Electoral Registry approved by the plenary session of the CNE.
