Hundreds of Chinese tourists who came to the Murmansk region to look for the northern lights got caught in a snowstorm in the village of Teriberka. A strong snowstorm paralyzed the only road connecting the village to the mainland for two days.
Publika.az “Mash” “Telegram” channel reported on this.
People are reportedly stuck in traffic jams. He is ready to pay tens of thousands of rubles (1000 Russian rubles is equal to 22 Azerbaijani manats) to get a seat on a helicopter to get rid of his captivity in the snow.
Teriberka itself currently receives about 480 visitors, the vast majority of whom are Chinese nationals and 343 foreigners. Some tourists are accommodated in local schools and hotels.
Witnesses said that the school turned into a huge dormitory: corridors and classrooms were full of people, sleeping places were arranged directly on the floor, even above the windows. The guests from China take a cool approach to the situation, they use gymnastic mats.
Wealthy tourists are evacuated by helicopters with anti-icing systems. Private airlines offer evacuation services for an average of 45,000 rubles (about 1,000 Azerbaijani manats) per person. Helicopters take passengers directly to Murmansk airport, from where they can fly to Moscow or other cities. But not everyone can afford such a luxury.
