China ‘bought’, exporting many agricultural products boomed

In recent days, container trucks carrying durian from growing areas of our country have been on their way to China. This is the largest export market for durian fruit, helping tens of thousands of farmers in our country earn billions after just one harvest.

At the durian gardens of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAGL) in Gia Lai, every day, groups of traders continuously come to inquire and buy this billion-dollar fruit. Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of HAGL – once said that the company will sell durian directly to Chinese partners, without going through intermediaries.

This year, in just two gardens in Gia Lai, HAGL’s durian output has reached 800 tons. However, the business has not yet finalized the selling price with the purchasing partner.
