Three days of national mourning are declared in Chile

On the other hand, right-wing opposition figures, such as Evelyn Matthei, demanded that the Government assume responsibilities and adopt forceful measures against terrorism in the south of the country. José Antonio Kast, leader of the hard right, went even further by requesting the declaration of a state of siege and the dismissal of Minister Tohá.
