«In order to recruit young players, I look at several points. I go to see kids of 12, 13 or 14 years old; those are the ages I go to see. I no longer see kids of 17 or 16 years old; those kids have not trained well for four years, they have not developed well. So, if I take them to compete against the Argentines, Uruguayans, Colombians or Paraguayans, we have no chance»he said in conversation with Movistar Deportes.

Regarding his project, Del Solar explained: «I need to have the younger boys to develop what they have, work well with them and, when they are 16 or 17 years old, they can be better prepared. That is what I am betting on. That is what I am doing with the entire work team that we have in the Federation».
