Chania: 20-year-old lifeguard dead after being beaten

Tragedy in Chania and specifically in Apokoronou Huts. A 20-year-old man, a lifeguard of Bulgarian origin, was rushed to the Chania Hospital and, despite the frantic efforts of the doctors, unfortunately, the young man did not make it and ended up dead.

Information from ertnews states that before the tragic event occurred, there was a heated argument with some people, his compatriots, in the Apokoronou Huts and more specifically in the village square.

In fact, there are reports that the young man was the victim of a beating.

The mobilization of the authorities was immediate, and they rushed to the spot where the incident took place and proceeded to make arrests.

At the same time, investigations are being conducted by the Chania Security Sub-Directorate to establish what exactly happened and what was the cause of the incident that had a tragic outcome, pending the forensic examination.
