Changes in the Government: Javier Milei asked the head of Anses and the Secretary of Mining to resign

The President of the Nation, Javier Mileyrequested this Friday the resignation of the heads of Anses and Minería, Osvaldo Giordano y Flavia Royón, respectively. The request comes after the fall of the omnibus law in the Chamber of Deputies.

Through a statement, the Office of the President reported that the libertarian requested “the resignation of the Head of the National Social Security Administration (ANSES), Osvaldo Giordano, and the Secretary of Mining of the Nation, Flavia Royón.”

“Their respective successors will be announced in the coming days. Likewise, the inherited economic crisis and the current historical moment require public officials committed to the modernization, simplification and debureaucratization of the State,” he added.

Likewise, he pointed out that “those who assume the responsibility of a public office must understand the harsh reality that Argentines face, and defend them from the constant attack of those who seek to maintain their privileges at the expense of the people’s hunger.”

First changes after the fall of the “Bases” law

Giordano, a man of the former governor of Cordoba Juan Schiarettiwas at the center of controversy due to the dispute with the governors after the fall of the law.

The Córdoba parliamentarians voted against several sections of the project and Giordano had been targeted on social networks by the ruling party.

Meanwhile, Royón, who had joined the cabinet of the governor of Salta, Gustavo Saenzhad joined the government of Alberto Fernandez at the request of the former Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa. Milei kept her in the position when she took over.
