ETECSA, Cuba’s only telecommunications company, has announced special offers on cell phones and cell phones in its offices across the country and is maintaining sales these days. Customers can enjoy discounts of up to $100 on select models. Here we show you the details.
The devices that have discounts are the LG K41S, which went from $231 to $177; the Samsung A515F, which dropped from $420 to $335; the Samsung A315G, reduced from $370 to $291; and the TCL T766J, offered at $251 instead of $300. These phones can be purchased with Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) cards at their offices.
Among the phones offered, the cheapest is the LG, which has a four-lens rear camera with artificial intelligence, a 6.55-inch HD+ screen, 32 GB internal memory, 4000 mAh battery, Android 10 operating system and connection to 2G, 3G and LTE networks.
The most expensive is the Samsung A515F, which has 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory and connection to 4G networks. However, this model can be found on Amazon for just $160, which demonstrates the price difference with ETECSA.
Opinions on the cost of ETECSA mobile phones
We shared this promotion from ETECSA a few days ago, when the offer was launched on the web, and readers expressed their opinion about it, suggesting the poor accessibility, due to the high prices, of these cell phones and cell phones.
“It’s a shame because the MLC has to be bought on the black market for around 250 pesos in national currency because in CADECA it takes a year or more to buy 100 dollars and in any case with this amount it’s not enough to make you buy a cell phone,” we read in our comments.
Another user, Orlando, underlined that this option cannot even be defined as “discount”, because the ETECSA mobile phones were too expensive, “even after the discount they are still too expensive because in specialized shops they have a much lower value”.

“For workers and pensioners it is a chimera, those prices are for foreigners or for those who have family abroad who can buy them”, he specified.
