On August 5, Nam Thu, along with the company’s representative and legal representative, had a meeting to speak out about this scandal. Accordingly, Nam Thu clarified the rumored issues such as affirming that her relationship with Mr. L. was just a friendship, the owner of the Zyy Doo account made up a false story to harm Nam Thu and then blackmailed the actress for 500 million VND. Nam Thu also publicly announced that her drug test was negative, apologized to those affected by the story and said that she was waiting for the conclusion from the investigation agency.
“Mr. Luan and I are friends. For more than 3 years now, I have often come to Mr. Luan’s homestay to stay with my lover, family, friends, company, students, and colleagues. I affirm that up to now, Mr. Luan and I do not have a relationship beyond love,” the actress affirmed.

She revealed that she was holding sensitive clip evidence, but had only sent half of it to the actress, not all of it. Zyy Doo once shared on livestream that when she opened her husband’s computer to listen to music, she accidentally discovered messages on Zalo, so she took pictures as evidence. She sent part of the images and clips to her husband, stored the rest separately and asked a very trusted friend to keep them as a backup. In addition, because she and the “homestay owner” named L shared the same iCloud account, she could easily copy the data of the photos and clips from her husband’s device.
On August 6, District 10 Police, Ho Chi Minh City informed that they had received a criminal complaint from Ms. Tran Thi Nam Thu (born in 1987, actress Nam Thu) about being slandered and having her honor violated by others. This unit is currently classifying and verifying to handle the complaint according to the provisions of the Law. According to known information, in addition to District 10 Police, this actress also made a record and sent a complaint to the authorities of several other localities.
