With the slogan ‘Transactions are cashless, Bangladesh is smart’, a sacrificial animal market has been set up in Singra Upazila of Natore. In this market, money for buying and selling cows is being transacted through mobile financial service cash.
State Minister for Postal Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak is the founder of this cashless shop in Ferighat area of Singra Upazila of Natore. Due to his efforts, the Cashless Sacrifice Animal Market has been held every year in Singra since the time of Corona epidemic.
Buyers and sellers are enjoying the country’s lowest cost cashout facility through cash from the only digital payment booth in this haat. Especially the buyers and sellers are freed from various types of violence including pickpockets, malmot parties in the annual animal market. With the introduction of digital payment booths, the opportunity of transactions from mobile phones has been created for the people of Singra. Also traders from far away can return home safely after selling animals through cashless transactions.
