In a statement published on his X account, Carlos Añaños expressed his commitment to Perú Moderno, thanking Wilson Aragón Ponce for the invitation

Carlos Añaños, founder of the Grupo AJEhas announced its affiliation to Modern Peru political party, highlighting its alignment with the ideals of freedom, justice and economic development of this group. This political movement marks his return to political life after resigning from Country Advances in October 2023, motivated by the departure of Hernando de Soto of said group.

Years, recognized as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2023’expressed his desire to contribute to the development of the country as a form of retribution for the achievements obtained in his business career.

Business vision

In his statements, Añaños emphasized the importance of a vision focused on the promotion of employment, management and innovation, suggesting that Peru could become a “world’s feeding lung” through the development of a well-delineated strategy focused on current needs.

“Looking at global geopolitics, why not propose the vision of being the feeding lung of the world? There are so many needs. They told me I was crazy when I started my business, how are you going to compete with the red, blue and yellow? I say that it is possible, but you have to propose a path, a summary and a route”he claimed.

Although Añaños did not confirm whether he will be the presidential candidate of Modern Peru, stated that he will contribute with ideas and participate in the call for outstanding professionals. He stressed that his approach is democratic and collaborative, and that the country needs robust teams working together.
