US President Joe Biden honored his country’s Army and troops on the occasion of Memorial Day, a celebration that former President Donald Trump took advantage of to harshly criticize the judges in charge of his various legal battles.
“You have remained united by a common commitment, not to a place, not to a person, not to a president, but to an idea… the idea of the United States of America,” Biden praised from Arlington National Cemetery.
In his annual speech, along with the traditional gesture of laying a wreath for American soldiers who have fallen in battle, he emphasized, as he did two days before at the graduation ceremony at the West Point Military Academy, that the troops serve under oath “not to a political party, nor to a president, but to the Constitution of the United States of America.”
“We are the only nation in the world founded on the idea that we are all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our lives,” he argued.
For his part, former US President Donald Trump lavished various messages on his Truth Social network, using the anniversary to go against, according to him, “the human scum” who want to destroy the United States.
“Happy Memorial Day to everyone, including the human scum who are working so hard to destroy our once-great country and the radical left,” Trump wrote in Truth Social.
This message includes disqualifications for various judges in charge of their ongoing processes in various cities in the country.
