Camila Moreno in San Antonio
- San Antonio Cultural Center, Antofagasta 545, Ravines, San Antonio.
- Saturday, February 17 – 7:00 p.m.
If January was the month of theater at the San Antonio Cultural Center, February is the month of music, with two great concerts that bring renowned exponents on the national scene to San Antonio, combined with presentations of outstanding local musical projects, events that They close the summer programming of the municipal campus.
With tickets practically sold out, singer-songwriter Camila Moreno returns to San Antonio after several years, to present in acoustic format a selection of her best-known songs: “We will be playing in duo format, in an intimate concert where we will review different songs from my career with guitars acoustic, electric and piano,” he noted.
“I’m very excited to be able to play in San Antonio, I haven’t been there in years; I like to connect with people in an intimate concert, and happy to share with those who open the concert. I hope these songs bring a little relief and connection with the beauty and affection that we need so much,” said the artist.
Those in charge of starting this concert are the members of the Colectivo a Desalambrar, made up of musicians from San Antonio who will present “Víctor Jara in memory and in the present”, paying homage to this iconic figure of Chilean music from an experimental perspective.
The presentation was selected in the 2023 Local Artistic Call, promoted by the municipality to commemorate the 50 years of the coup d’état through the work of the territory’s artists. These are remakes of songs and writings by Víctor Jara that, although experimental, do not lose the essence and tradition of his music.
The local singer-songwriter Emer Son and member of A Desalambrar, explains that “the figure of Víctor, for the four members of the collective, has been a fundamental pillar, in influence and in the way of expression, both artistically, politically and in the social, and that is what we seek to vindicate 50 years after his murder.”
