Business Merit Awards are being prepared by the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce

The Valledupar Chamber of Commerce is preparing the Thirteenth version of the Julio Villazón Baquero Business Merit Awards, which will take place on Friday, December 22 at the Convention Center of the Valledupar Bilingual School Foundation.

The traditional ceremony, which exalts figures such as exemplary businessmen, impeccable citizens from different branches and the visionary entrepreneurs of the region, will have important new features in 2023, one of which is that within the event there will be an act of reconciliation in allegory to the peace and a point at which a tribute will be paid to populations of society such as youth, Afros, women, young people, ethnic groups and diverse groups, among others; In addition, the role of some non-profit foundations that play a prominent philanthropic role in Cesar, the region and Colombia will also be highlighted.

Within the framework of the XIII awards gala of the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce, approximately 19 special distinctions and three awards will be awarded in the categories: Entrepreneur of the year, Affiliate of the Year and Microentrepreneur of the year. This year, new distinctions for science, technology and innovation were added in the following order:

Special Distinctions: Posthumous Tribute, Great Citizen, Outstanding Young Man, Musical Cultural Merit, Literary Cultural Merit, Press ‘Beder Guerra Gutiérrez’, Immortal Juglar Jorge Oñate, Interagency Cooperation, Exemplary Citizen, Community Recognition, Heroic Effort, Peace Builders Recognition , Environment Recognition and Sustainable Development.

Science, technology and innovation distinctions: Commercial and Services Merit, Successful Entrepreneurship, Dairy Transformer, Agribusiness, Tourism and Services, Sustainable Mining.

Categories: Microentrepreneur of the year, Affiliate of the year and Entrepreneur of the Year.

This award or plaque of recognition for Julio Villazón Baquero Business Merit will be awarded at the head of the executive president of the chamber José Luis Urón Márquez and the board of directors of the entity.
