Zaina Nyange: “We always find time to do what we love. »
Zaina Nyange is a 16-year-old girl we met at the Art in Life center in Rumonge. This center specializes in the production of various artistic objects, especially those related to painting. Zai lives in the city of Rumonge with her family. She is the second daughter of three children. She is a second-year student in the Management section at the Consular School in Rumonge.
As she says, since primary school, she has always been passionate about drawing: “ Drawing was always a subject that I easily succeeded in at school, even at home I had fun drawing ” she says. It was only in 2021 that she learned from her classmates about an art center where she could gain more knowledge on the subject. That’s how she enrolled at the Art in Life center for a six-month training. Thanks to her passion and thirst for learning, accompanied by the support of her parents, Zai successfully completed this training.
We always find time for what we love.
Since completing her training, she has started working as a professional within this center. Since then, she has already produced nearly twenty paintings, admired by most of the visitors who frequent this center, as Danny Bindariye, director of the Art in Life center in Rumonge, testifies. Everyone who visits this center is impressed by Zai’s talent. She is truly passionate about painting. She is not afraid to go up and paint the walls, and she does it very well. Our customers sometimes find it hard to believe that she is the one who does all this. “, he testifies.

Most visitors to the Art in Life center admire Zai’s paintings.
Regarding her educational background, Zai says she has no problem reconciling her studies and her job: “ We always find time to do what we love. “, she says with a voice full of conviction. Her determination is visible on her face. She shares her daily life with us: during school time, her days are organized as follows. In the morning, she does housework, then gets ready for school. In the afternoon, she goes to the Art in Life center to paint, a way for her to have fun and rest. After these sessions, she goes home to review the lessons learned at school. ” It’s a matter of organization. I want to succeed in school, but I don’t want to give up my job as a painter either. Thank God, I manage to succeed easily in school. As for painting, I’m getting better every day. I love how Danny draws, he’s really my role model and mentor. Every time, I try to draw like him ” she testifies.
Her dream is to improve her knowledge in the subject to the point of being able to pass on her skills to other young people. To young people, especially girls who are passionate about painting, she advises not to give in to fear. According to her, a girl can easily excel in painting, sometimes even more than her male peers. All she needs is the thirst to learn and the determination.
