Bukele’s management records 600 days with zero homicides

El Salvador has reached the figure of 600 days with zero homicides under the presidency of Nayib Bukele, according to official data published this Wednesday morning and after adding 12 days with that positive figure in the current month of April 2024.

The data published by Casa Presidencial indicate that, with the 12 days accumulated so far in April, El Salvador has managed to add 600 days with zero homicides, all of them under the presidential mandate of Nayib Bukele.

The National Civil Police (PNC) also confirmed that Tuesday, April 16 ended without deaths caused by violence, which allows the country to add 12 days with zero homicides in the month that is still ongoing.

With these 600 days with zero homicides in almost five years, El Salvador Salvador is positioned as the safest country in America, improving its figures significantly with respect to the results obtained by previous governments in three decades.

These results have been possible thanks to the execution of the Territorial Control Plan, a security strategy implemented since the beginning of President Bukele’s administration, and which allows a direct fight against crime and the eradication of violence through social prevention.

Likewise, the exception regime, approved in March 2022 and still in force in El Salvador, is another of the strategies that has allowed the country to reach 600 days with zero homicides and that has achieved the capture and imprisonment of more than 79,000 gang members and collaborators, eradicating these criminal groups in El Salvador Salvador.
