Mountain luck had one 91 years old in Britain as he was removed from an ambulance shortly before it exploded.

Mr Brinklow, 69, said the house suffered damage from the fumes, while it was cut electricity in the garage.

“It went out like a candle. I was shocked – it was like a horror show. It’s incredible that no one was killed. Our neighbor was in the ambulance a while ago explodes.

“THE temperature that caused was so high that the back of our car literally it melted. We just want the insurance company to hurry up so we can get our house repaired,” he said.

EMED, a private ambulance company that provides patient transport, said it was investigating cause of the explosion.

A spokesman said: “On Thursday March 14, during a routine patient drop-off in Barton-under-Needwood, our ambulance engine took fire.

“Unfortunately, some of the neighboring properties suffered damages, which we now manage through our insurer.

“All of our ambulances undergo rigorous safety checks on a regular basis and our absolute priority is the safety of our patients and the communities we serve.

“We are working closely with the vehicle manufacturer and an independent safety consultant as part of our ongoing internal investigation.”
