Brigadier General TNI Djon Afriandi Officially Serves as Danjen Kopassus

JAKARTA – Brigadier General (Brigjen) TNI Djon Afriandi officially served as Commander General of the Special Forces Command (Danjen Kopassus) .

The handover ceremony for Danjen Kopassus from Major General TNI Deddy Suryadi to Brigadier General Djon Afriandi was held at Makopassus Field, Cijantung, East Jakarta, Friday (8/3/2024) afternoon.

Present at the certification ceremony were Kopassus officers including, Deputy Danjen Kopassus Brigadier General TNI Yudha Airlangga, Danpusdilatpassus Brigadier General Fikri Musmar.

In addition, Dan Group 1 Colonel Inf. Irfan Amir and Group 2 Lt. Col. Inf. Wahyo Yuniartoto, and Group 3 Lt. Col. Inf. Ginda M Ginanjar. Dansat 81 Kopassus Lt. Col. Inf. Nur Wahyudi.

From observations in the field, the Kopassus Danjen’s handover ceremony took place amidst heavy rain. Nevertheless, the ceremony took place solemnly.

As previously reported, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto carried out transfers, rotations and promotions of high-ranking TNI officers (Pati) from three dimensions.

The transfer is stated in the Decree (SK) of the Commander of the Indonesian National Army Number Kep/216/II/2024 concerning Dismissal from and Appointment to Positions within the Indonesian National Army.

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto’s policy, which was set on Wednesday, February 21 2024, recorded that 38 officers were transferred.

One of them is Brigadier General Djon Afriandi, who previously served as Special Staff to the Army Chief of Staff and became Danjen Kopassus. Djon Afriandi replaced Maj. Gen. TNI Deddy Suryadi who was transferred to Pangdam IV/Diponegoro.
