The state of health of the family involved in a serious accident on BR-040, in Nova Lima, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, this Friday (29), is stable. There were three people in the vehicle: an investigator from the State Department of Homicide Investigations and Personal Protection (DHPP), her husband, coordinator of the legal department of the Sindicato Único dos Trabalhadores (Sind-UTE) of Betim, in the metropolitan region and the couple’s six-year-old son. Everyone was rescued by helicopter to João XXIII hospital. At the time of the collision they were headed to Rio de Janeiro. Yesterday (Friday 29 December) was the police officer’s first day off.
The boy needed surgery. The police officer suffered numerous injuries and also required surgery. The man is the victim who suffered the least injuries and is under observation. The clinical conditions of the family were reported by the investigator’s brother, Bruno Antunes, this Saturday (30). According to Bruno, the family’s discharge is not yet planned. At this moment, however, he breathes a sigh of relief.
“Today (Saturday) I will go to visit them in hospital. We still don’t know when they will be discharged, but what matters is that they are all stable. Our end of the year will definitely wait for the three of them to recover,” Bruno said.
