Book Fair: this Sunday there will be a panel on Paraguayan poetry promoted by Culture

This Sunday, June 30, at 5:00 p.m., a panel dedicated to Paraguayan poetry will be held at the Mariscal López Shopping Convention Center, as part of the programming of the International Book Fair – FIL Asunción 2024. The event is organized by the National Secretariat of Culture.

The bilingual panel, entitled “How to revive our language? How can we revive our language?” will feature the participation of prominent Paraguayan writers such as Christian Kent, Mónica Laneri and Moncho Azuaga. The moderation will be in charge of Mrs. Susy Delgado.

The objective of the meeting is to encourage reflection and debate on the role of poetry in contemporary Paraguayan society. The event will take place in the Aníbal Barreto Monzón hall, located at J. Eulogio Estigarribia N° 5086 esq. Charles De Gaulle.

This year, the fair, organized by the Asunción Paraguay Book Chamber (CLAP), has a total of 94 stands and its program includes 175 cultural activities, in addition to the visit of national and international authors. The International Book Fair takes place from June 27 to July 7.

The participation of the National Secretariat of Culture in this event underlines the commitment to the promotion and preservation of culture and the arts in Paraguay. By promoting this panel, the National Secretariat of Culture seeks to highlight the richness of Paraguayan poetry by encouraging literary creation and intercultural dialogue, reaffirming its role as a fundamental pillar in the cultural development of the country.
