Book “Beyond Life and Death” by James Caetano presented in Lisbon

Angolan writer James Caetano will launch on September 15th, at 4pm, in Lisbon, Portugal, the literary work entitled “Beyond Life and Death”, a work that brings paradoxical and surreal concepts, portraying the mysteries and uncertainty of life and death.

According to the author, the book began to be written 8 years ago, and portrays the modus vivendus of a worldly society, which is predisposed to being corrupted through stereotypes and prejudices promoted over time, which have been absorbed and tend to be standard.

Taking place at Chiado Clube Literário, the work has the imprint of Chiado Editora, which will distribute it physically and digitally.

James Caetano, pseudonym of Kilson Manuel de Jesus Caetano, was born on October 9, 1989, in the province of Luanda, municipality Sambizanga, now a district.

James Caetano did his primary schooling at Gammams Primary School, Windhoek, Namibia, where he moved at the age of 13. In 2004 he entered secondary school in Windhoek, Namibia. It was in this country bordering Angola that James Caetano was awakened to literature.

From his academic background, James took his first step into higher education at the Midrand Graduate Institute, South Africa. During the 3 years he stayed in Johannesburg, James Caetano became deeply involved in literature.

After awakening in Namibia, it was in the province of Cunene, southern Angola, dry lands, that he took his first steps in the literary world, where he wrote excerpts of poetry.

His experience and experience of the places he visited makes James a writer with dazzling and moving stories, bringing together traits of Western and African literature in his writings.
