Grigory Zakaryan, director of Converse Bank’s investment department, said: “Further development of the capital market in Armenia is impossible, including without quantitative and volume growth of issuers and issues, without the inclusion of real sector companies in the process.
The placement of Eurotherm bonds was a fruitful collaboration and a new successful experience for the Bank, thanks to which our partner company Eurotherm got access to an alternative option of attracting finance. And the completion of the bond placement in a shorter time than planned once again proved the growing demand for bonds of reliable companies operating in the real sector and the effectiveness of Converse Bank’s steps in this area.
Today, we support various small and medium-sized companies in the issue and placement of bonds, creating new, alternative opportunities for attracting finance for them, and providing clients with new investment opportunities.”
According to Vahe Ghazaryan, General Director of Eurotherm Company, they started thinking about using alternative funding opportunities a long time ago, but they issued bonds last year, in the conditions of positive attitude of the market and potential investors. “The presence of a large number of individual investors in our company’s bonds indicates confidence in Eurotherm. Due to this placement, the funds raised were mainly directed to replenish the working capital of the company. It is not excluded that in the future we will have more large-scale issuances for replenishment of capital or implementation of new business ideas.”
According to Hayk Yeganyan, General Director of the Armenian Stock Exchange, the development of the capital market is one of the most important missions of the stock exchange, and many projects are being implemented in that direction. He notes: “The listing of Eurotherm’s bonds on the Armenian Stock Exchange is a significant step for the development of the Armenian investment market. Taking into account the growing interest in bonds, in our opinion, trading of Eurotherm bonds on the exchange platform will be quite active.”
