BNA sells 25 million Euros at auction

Or National Bank of Angola (BNA), sold Tuesday (25) at auction, for the primary market, the amount of 25 million euros to cover services, including technical assistance, consultancy, reinsurance, licenses and patents.

From this session, according to the BNA statement, to which Angop had access, the weighted average exchange rate was calculated at Kz 270.947 per Euro, with a depreciation of 0.925 percent.

13 of the 25 participating banks contributed to the calculation of the reference exchange rate, with the highest rate being Kz 273.161 per Euro and the lowest being Kz 270.181 per Euro.

Due to the rules for organizing the auctions, banks BAI and Atlântico raised the highest amounts of available ceiling in the amount of five million 813 thousand 607 euros and four million 250 thousand euros, respectively.

In the previous session, the central bank sold currency at auction to the primary market worth 150 million euros to cover letters of credit.
