The International Monetary Fund (IMF) welcomed the economic reforms implemented by the new government in Argentina.
Publika.az informs that this was stated in the statement of the Foundation’s director of communications, Julie Kozak.
“IMF staff welcomes the measures announced today by Argentina’s new economy minister, Luis Caputo. These bold initial moves aim to significantly improve public finances by protecting the most vulnerable in society and strengthening the currency regime. Their decisive implementation will help stabilize the economy and lay the groundwork for more sustainable and private-sector-centric growth,” the document said.
According to him, the Fund and “the new leadership of Argentina will work in an accelerated manner in the coming period”:
“After serious policy setbacks over the past few months, this new package provides a good basis for further discussions to relaunch the existing program supported by the Fund.”
