Tomorrow the ball will roll for the first time in the Africa Cup of Nations. Tonight Qatar opens the football tournament in Asia. For Union, this means seeing strongmen Lazare, Amoura and Machida at work in their national team jersey.
Yet Alexander Blessin is not worried about the next matches. For this he credits his philosophy.
“I have no doubts about my core,” T1 shrugs. “I have rotated a lot since the beginning of the season and opted for freshness.”
“I can compensate for the loss of Lazare in midfield, even without Amoura we have already won games this season. We will adapt our game now that we can no longer rely on his speed.”
So the bottom line is, “I’ll never say we won’t miss them, but we have enough quality to adapt.”
Thriving group dynamics

“We needed a short break. Now I’m happy that I had six days to translate everything from my head to the training field. The conditions here are perfect.”
