BKPRMI Ready to Send 1,000 Trained Cadres to Help TNI in Gaza, Palestine

JAKARTA – The Indonesian Youth Mosque Communication Agency (BKPRMI) is ready to send 1,000 trained cadres of the Mosque Brigade to assist the TNI in maintaining security and helping refugees in Gaza, Palestine. The Mosque Brigade cadres have expertise in the fields of health, rehabilitation, public kitchens, and trauma healing.

“They are the ones we have deployed to disaster locations such as floods, earthquakes, tsunamis in Aceh, Yogyakarta, Palu and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), West Sumatra. Therefore, we are ready to deploy 1,000 trained cadres to Gaza to help “The TNI is providing assistance to Palestinian residents and children,” said General Chairperson of the DPP BKPRMI Datuk H Said Aldi Al Idrus to journalists after attending the gathering of the Deputy Grand Shaykh of Al Azhar Egypt, Prof Dr Muhammad Abd Rahman Ad Duwainy together with community leaders and Ambassadors of other countries. Said explained that BKPRMI was motivated to send trained cadres to Gaza because it saw the very worrying condition of Palestinian residents and children as a result of the brutal attacks without any sense of humanity by Israeli soldiers. They are hungry, have lost family members, their houses have been destroyed, so they have to live in refugee camps with deep sadness.

According to him, BKPRMI has distributed aid to Gaza amounting to more than IDR 6 billion from donations from the community and DPW, DPD, ustaz, ustazah, BKPRMI students throughout Indonesia, including clean water for refugees in North Gaza for 4 months. However, it would not be perfect if BKPRMI did not step in directly to help the Palestinians. “If permitted by the Indonesian government and the UN (they will send trained cadres to Gaza),” said the general chairman of the Indonesian Malay Islamic World (DMDI).

Said Aldi reiterated that BKPRMI strongly supports the steps and policies of the International Criminal Court (ICC) or the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court which issued an Arrest Warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take responsibility for war and humanitarian crimes.

“The ICC should not hesitate to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, because the crimes against humanity he committed are considered extraordinarily barbaric. We also appeal to the world community to support the ICC so that it can arrest the Israeli Prime Minister. If it cannot be done, it is better to just disband it,” said Said Aldi, known as a national figure who cares about humanity and social issues.
