BJP appointed MLA Mohan Lal Badoli as Haryana state president

New Delhi New Delhi : Ahead of the assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday appointed MLA Mohan Lal Badoli as Haryana state president. This comes as parties have started preparing for the Haryana assembly elections to be held later this year. Earlier, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday said that the Congress will be able to win any seat in the assembly elections as the Bharatiya Janata Party is strong in all 90 assembly seats in the state. Congress is weak in every assembly. Congress has nothing to speak… I don’t think Congress will be able to win any seat in the assembly elections as the BJP is very strong in all 90 assembly seats,” Saini told reporters.

Earlier on July 6, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar held a meeting with state BJP leaders and workers on Saturday regarding preparations for the 2024 assembly elections in Haryana. After the meeting, the former Haryana Chief Minister told reporters in Karnal, “… Preparations are underway for the assembly elections. Party workers are excited. The lies told by the Congress will not work in the next elections. The tactics they (Congress) adopted in the Lok Sabha elections will not work now…” Earlier today, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda took a dig at the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and said that the contest is between the Congress and the BJP and there is no place for vote cutters.

Speaking to the media here today, Hooda said, “Congress is fully prepared. We have visited every district and now we will visit every assembly constituency. In the Lok Sabha elections, our alliance got 47.62 percent votes and the highest number of votes in the entire country was received by our alliance in Haryana. Tamil Nadu is second and then Karnataka.” He said, “The Lok Sabha elections have made it clear that the contest is between the Congress and the BJP. There is no place for vote-cutters. We have an alliance at the national level. At present, there is no alliance in Haryana.

“Inflation and law and order have completely collapsed here. Everyone has made up their mind that the next government will be formed by the Congress,” Hooda said. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and the Congress won 5 seats each in the state. The BJP recorded 46.11 per cent vote share, while the Congress recorded 43.67 per cent vote share, and its alliance partner Aam Aadmi Party recorded 3.94 per cent vote share. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won all the 10 seats in the state. (ANI)
