Bintang Timur Surabaya Held to a Draw by Unggul FC

TANGERANG – – Bintang Timur Surabaya (BTS) and Unggul FC drew 2-2 in the continuation Professional Futsal League 2024 . The match took place at the Nambo Sports Hall, Tangerang, Banten, on Saturday (20/7/2024) afternoon WIB.

East Star Surabaya started the match by playing fast, pressing Unggul FC’s defense. The team that won the Professional Futsal League twice seemed comfortable controlling the course of the match.

Continuing to dominate, Bintang Timur Surabaya finally managed to score a goal through a hard kick by Sauqy Lubis in the 8th minute. After the goal, Unggul FC tried to catch up by playing fast.

However, Bintang Timur Surabaya was able to anticipate Unggul FC’s attacks well. In the 17th minute, Unggul FC managed to break the deadlock through Andres Teran’s measured kick. Teran took advantage of the rebound from his teammate’s hard kick. The first half ended with a draw of 1-1.

Entering the second half, Bintang Timur Surabaya returned to playing fast to break down Unggul FC’s defense. However, Unggul FC’s solid defense overwhelmed Sauqy Lubis and his teammates.

Despite the deadlock, Bintang Timur Surabaya did not give up. The 2022 AFF Futsal Cup champions tried to rely on speculative kicks to steal the lead. However, they conceded a goal through a quick counterattack from Oscar Fernandez in the 33rd minute, which brought Unggul FC back to lead 2-1.

After the goal, Bintang Timur Surabaya immediately pounded Unggul FC’s defense with a massive attack. The solid performance of Unggul FC’s goalkeeper, Muhammad Albagir, made it difficult for Bintang Timur Surabaya to score a goal. However, they did not give up and finally managed to break the deadlock through Dieguinho’s measured shot in the 37th minute.

The match ended without any additional goals, and the score remained 2-2 until the referee blew the long whistle.
