Digital Desk, New Delhi. Due to global warming, the melting of ice in Greenland and Antarctica is reducing the Earth’s rotation speed, which is affecting time around the world. A new study has revealed that due to this there may be a need to reduce one second from the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Study author Duncan Agnew said that since the Earth does not always rotate at the same speed, variations are found in UTC.
