Sharing a memory of this film, Amitabh Bachchan once said, ‘When I went to audition for the film, the director Khawaja asked me. After I introduced myself, he immediately called my father (famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan). Because, he (producer) thought, I went to film without informing anyone at home.
