JAKARTABank Indonesia (BI) opens up opportunities for journalists and MNC Media employees to exchange new money via Mobile Cash Service, Thursday (4/4/2024). This activity is included in the 2024 Semarak Rupiah Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr (SERAMBI) program.

Even though it opened at 10.00 WIB, it was recorded that queues had already started to fill the complex MNC Media at Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta since 07.00 WIB.

The Director of the Money Management Department of Bank Indonesia, Faris Budiawan, accompanied by the Director of Corporate Secretary of MNC Group, Syafril Nasution and the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of IDX Channel, Masirom gave a symbolic gesture with the cash provided by BI.

BI has prepared approximately 500 packages for media personnel at MNCs. Until 11.00 WIB, there were more than 300 MNC employees queuing. Unfortunately, money exchange by BI is only valid today at the MNC Kebon Sirih complex.

Director of the BI Money Management Department, Faris Budiawan, said that the SERAMBI 2024 activity was part of BI’s task to distribute money fit for circulation (ULE) to the public.

“In the framework of Ramadan and Idul Fitri today, we are carrying out various activities including mobile cash which we do at MNC, we are giving MNC friends the opportunity to exchange their money for new money, so we are giving an exchange quota allocation and an exchange amount allocation, Faris said.

Especially for MNCs, continued Faris, BI allocated 500 exchangers, each of whom could exchange a maximum of IDR 4 million.
