The welfare of garment workers in Bangladesh was discussed by BGMEA President SM Mannan Kochi and Textile and Garment Industry Director of Industrialall Christina Hajagos-Clausen.
Christina Hajagos-Clausen paid a courtesy call on SM Mannan Kochi, president of the organization, at the BGMEA complex in Uttara, capital, on Monday (May 27). They discussed this during the meeting.
In the meeting, they discussed various issues of Bangladesh’s garment industry, especially workplace safety, workers’ rights and welfare.

BGMEA president SM Mannan Kochi said that BGMEA has given the highest priority to the welfare of workers for the sustainable development of the garment industry. He highlighted the ongoing efforts of BGMEA for the health and welfare of garment workers.
BGMEA and Industrialall express their intention to work together to advance the achievements of the garment industry in Bangladesh in areas such as workplace safety and labor rights.
At this time, BGMEA Vice President (Finance) said. Nasir Uddin, Director Haroon R. Rashid, Ashiqur Rahman (Tuhin), Chairman of Standing Committee on Labor and ILO Affairs of BGMEA and NM Saifuddin were present.
