Bertan’s teammate was acquitted in the case of relations with a minor

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddy of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team represented by Davy Bertan will not be charged with inappropriate relations with a minor, Newport Beach police announced Wednesday.

It has already been reported that an investigation was launched against Giddy at the end of November for having a relationship with a minor.

At that time, videos and photos of Giddy with an underage girl went viral on social networks.

Shortly after the video hit the Internet, the NBA announced that it had opened an investigation into the incident.

Subsequently, the Newport Beach Police Department also opened an investigation into Giddy’s relationship with a minor.

“After a thorough and detailed investigation, we have closed our investigation into social media information regarding Giddy,” the Newport Beach Police Department said in a statement.

“Our investigators reviewed all available information and were unable to confirm any criminal activity by Mr. Giddy,” the report states.

The 21-year-old Australian Giddy, selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 draft, declined to comment on the case.

Giddy continued to play during the investigation and averaged 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists for the Thunder this season, but has faced taunting at road games since the reports were filed accusations.
