Benny Rhamdani Will Fulfil Bareskrim Summons Regarding Figure T Who Is Suspected of Being Online Gambling Boss

JAKARTA – Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani will fulfill the invitation for clarification from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police, Monday (29/7/2024). The summons was related to his statement regarding the figure of T who is suspected of controlling judi online in Indonesia.

Benny admitted that he had received the invitation for clarification since Friday night, July 26, 2024. “Come, come, if you are asked for clarification, why not come,” said Benny to reporters, Saturday (7/27/2024).

“God willing (I will be there) in the morning, if not in the afternoon, it is estimated that in the morning from 10 to 12,” he continued.

Benny said he would explain the incident when he conveyed the initials of the online gambling controller in Indonesia with the initials T in a limited meeting at the State Palace. “I will convey the incident that occurred at the State Palace when I conveyed it in front of the president, vice president, there were commanders, there were police chiefs, there were ministers, (heads) of institutions,” he said.

The statement, said Benny, focused on the illegal placement of migrant workers in Cambodia, not on the figure of T. According to Benny, it was not his job to reveal who the figure of T was.

“Where illegal placement in Cambodia is working in online gambling and online scamming. Well, that’s what has disappeared in some news reports, why is everyone focused on online gambling,” he said.

“Well then the second misleading, media friends focused on online gambling in Indonesia, whereas what I conveyed in relation to illegal placement was online gambling in Cambodia,” he continued.
