The deleterious situation which has persisted between Benin and Niger for almost one (01) year, does not leave indifferent the former President of the Bar, Jacques MIGAN, founding member of the Bloc Républicain party supporting the actions of Patrice TALON’s government.
Last Friday, May 24, at the microphone of the private radio Capp Fm, Jacques MIGAN Guest of the sociopolitical program ”Questions currents”, presented the current picture of the situation between Benin and Niger and made proposals for a exit from crisis.
After recalling and welcoming the decision of Beninese President Patrice TALON to put the ball back on the ground and work for the normalization of relations with Niger, even before the lifting of ECOWAS sanctions, the former President of the Bar Jacques MIGAN states: “…. It is not the authorities who suffer, but rather the populations, and especially the people of Niger. “ Our concern is that we bring the ball back to the ground so that people live in peace… Many must understand that Benin is motivated by good will for the normalization of relations. We will not be tired of continuing to take these steps so that two brother countries can meet again. This is why I invite the Nigerien authorities to also take the necessary step by reopening the border for the happiness of both peoples and much more in the interest of the Nigerien people. ».
The Beninese economy, a resilient economy that has proven itself
The guest on the program “Questions actuales” last Friday, discussing the consequences of Niger’s position, noted that thanks to the courageous decisions of President Patrice TALON, the Beninese economy has proven to be very resilient. And to illustrate this fact, the former President of the Bar, Jacques MIGAN, evokes a situation similar to that of Niger: “ We know how to adapt. If we had resisted while Nigeria thought it was hurting us, imagine what it would be like with Niger ».
Appreciating the good relations today between Presidents Bola TINUBU of Nigeria and Patrice TALON of Benin, Jacques MIGAN underlined that this facilitated the opening, a few days ago, of a corridor on the of Ségbana in Benin for the strengthening of commercial and development links between the Nigerian and Beninese people.
Jacques MIGAN disapproves of the antipatriotic position and the lying remarks of Kemi Seba
The guest of Radio Capp Fm did not go out of his way to disapprove of the unpatriotic position and the lying remarks of Kemi Seba who wanted to make the Nigerien authorities believe that supposed French legionnaires with black skin would be on the ground Beninese. For Jacques MIGAN, the author of the said false allegations must be brought before the courts to provide proof of his statement.
