Bendika is ranked 46th in the pursuit. Vitoci is winning laurels

The fight for the victory was decided on the last lap, when Vitoci went out on the fourth shot with a second and a half difference, as did the Norwegians Ingrīda Lanmarka Tandrevolla and Jūni Arnekleiva.

Vitoci won the race, the Italian, who measured a penalty lap, finished in 30 minutes and 30.7 seconds. Tandrevolla, winner of the sprint, lost seven tenths of a second, he also did not close a single goal, while Arneklaiva, who shot perfectly, was 9.1 seconds behind the winner.

Already in the first lying shot, Bendika did not close three targets and retired in 57th position, making it difficult to fight for points. In the next shot, the shooter was accurate while lying down, but missed a target while standing. Bendika finished three minutes and 42.5 seconds behind the winner, but had the 36th fastest pace over the distance.

In the chase after five out of seven races, the leader with 274 points is the French Gillia Simone, who today finished in 13th place, 266 points for Tandrevolla, and 261 points for the French Gistine Breza-Bouchet, seventh this time. Sanita Buliņa is in 58th position with 11 points.

In the total of all disciplines, Tandrevolla became the leader with 666 points, 657 points for Breza-Buche and 606 points for Vitoci. Buliņa’s 19 points give her 64th place, while Bendika is in 78th place with six points.

Later at 3.45pm Andrejs Rastorgujevs and Renārs Birkentāls will compete in the pursuit.

The next round of the World Cup will take place next week on the Italian track of Anterselva.

There are nine rounds in the World Cup series this season, with the crystal balls handed out in mid-March at Canada’s Kenmore circuit. The world championship will take place from 7 to 18 February in the Czech city of Nove Mesto, while the European championship from 21 to 28 January on the Slovakian track of Osrbl.
