  • If you sit for more than 4 hours a day, you are prone to chronic diseases: cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis, heart diseases and even cancer.
  • Australian researchers came to an absolutely terrifying conclusion: if you sit for more than 11 hours a day, your risk of death in the next three years is 40% higher than for those who spend three times less time in a sitting position.
  • Inactivity causes stagnation of blood and fluids in the legs, which increases the risk of blood clots. Sitting cross-legged is even more harmful, as it makes blood flow more difficult.
  • A sedentary lifestyle in women is also accompanied by the appearance of obesity and cellulite in the thigh area. The risk of prostate disease increases in men.
