The couple Hengky Kurniawan and Sonya Fatmala have a unique history before they got married on April 23, 2015. It is known that the two, who have an 11-year age difference, had a special use of the cell phone charger.
The man who now serves as regent of West Bandung recalls the story of his first love with his wife. Those who initially loved the location (cinlok) of the filming location said that Sonya first came to them to borrow a charger.
“He originally wanted to borrow a charger, but he actually wanted to chat with Hengky Kurniawan,” Hengky Kurniawan recalled when he was a guest star on Trans TV’s Brownis program, Monday (1/1/2024).
“But it turns out that Hengky Kurniawan remembers it when he borrowed the charger until now,” Sonya Fatmala said.
Hengky Kurniawan was initially hesitant considering his widowed status and large age difference. After trying to ask Sonya Fatmala’s mother for permission, their relationship was finally approved.
During his courtship, Hengky also had difficulty gaining the approval of Sonya’s parents. The soap opera actor’s widowed status is one reason.
“From there we chatted, we got to know each other and we liked each other, then we went to his mother, pepet his mother, because at that time he was still young, still studying, while I was a widower for two years, thank God for everything everything went smoothly,” Hengky Kurniawan explained.
During their marriage they both admitted that there were many romantic moments. These moments usually use songs. Sonya, who is still young, also said that she was often teased by teenagers and high school students when they met her.
Sonya Fatmala admitted that she is not bothered by being teased by high school students. According to him, she was just a part of the event to make it more exciting.
“No, it actually makes it fun, doesn’t it. So it’s true that high school students can’t do education seriously, which means they are too lazy to listen to it. But joking, education is relaxed, yeah they will have more fun,” he said.
On the same occasion, Hengky Kurniawan was asked to respond to the issue of his wife being teased by children at school. He admitted that he wasn’t jealous at all.
“But I’m not jealous, don’t worry. Even though my wife has many idols, she has proven that widowers are more attractive,” he said.
Next, Sonya Fatmala was asked about her home life with Hengky Kurniawan. The couple, who have an 11-year age gap, are known to have been married for 8 years.
Hengky Kurniawan married Christy Jusung on October 10, 2008. They were both blessed with a son who was named Bintang Pratama. However, the two had to divorce on September 8, 2012.
Hengky Kurniawan also decided to marry Sonya Fatmala on April 23, 2015. Both of them are blessed with two children named Shakila Azzahra Kurniawan and Zavieruwais Muhammad Kurniawan.
