Before the IPL, the name-logo of Royal Challengers changed – 2024-03-21 03:02:57

There is only one day left for the next season of IPL to go up. Just before the start of the season, Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team of Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell, has changed the name and logo of the team.

Until now the name of Royal Challengers was ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ in English. Currently after name change to ‘Royal Challengers Bengaluru’.

The new name was announced at the Royal Challengers’ jersey-name-logo unveiling ceremony at the M Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Franchise captain Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Maxwell and Royal Challengers women’s captain Smriti Madana were present at the event.

Smriti led Royal Challengers (RCB) to their maiden title in the recently concluded Women’s IPL. RCB beat Delhi Capitals to win the title.

RCB made a post on their social media account X (formerly Twitter) mentioning the name change. The franchise has also written a slogan there.

In the post, RCB wrote, ‘The time has come to present the city we love, the heritage of the city to you, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, RCB.’
