Street vendors (zungueiras) have, from this Thursday, the possibility of receiving up to 200 thousand kwanzas each, as credit, to finance their businesses, through the financing project of the Bank of Commerce and Industry (BCI) , launched today, in Luanda.
The project, of national scope, includes the distribution of Automatic Payment Terminals (TPA) and an insurance portfolio related to each activity, according to the executive administrator of BCI, Jardel Duarte.
The person in charge, who spoke during the official launch of the respective program, clarified that, in order to access financing, it is necessary to issue proof of commercial activity issued by the local administration, as well as a copy of the Identity Card.
According to the bank administrator, interested parties must register the activity they carry out and open a bank account, with the possibility of having a TPA, an ATM card and the respective financing of up to 200 thousand kwanzas, with an interest rate of two percent per month.
At the time, Sandra Solary was one of the first ten beneficiaries of the project, having already received a TPA to facilitate her sales.
“I have been selling food products here in Sequele for over ten years. One of the main difficulties was the lack of a TPA, which made me lose many customers, but from now on the business gains new dynamism,” he said.
The Sequele market, the place that hosted the official launch of the project, has existed since 2012 and brings together more than 600,000 traders, according to the local administration. DIF/SEC/QCB
