Bayraklı Municipality Supported Amateur Sports Clubs

(İZMİR)- Bayraklı Municipality, which supports sports investments and athletes, provided 525 thousand liras in cash and over 500 thousand liras in kind support to 15 amateur sports clubs operating in the district. Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal said, “We are grateful to all our clubs that ensure our children stay away from bad habits and look to the future with more hope through sports. Keeping our promises, as Bayraklı Municipality, we will continue to fight and support sports in cooperation with our clubs to bring sports to better points.”

The event held at Bayraklı Municipality Terrace Cafe was attended by Mayor İrfan Önal, Bayraklı Amateur Sports Clubs President Cüneyt Çelik, amateur sports club presidents, managers and representatives. Professional football match and training balls were given to sports clubs at the event. A total of 525 thousand liras in cash and over 500 thousand liras in kind support were provided to 15 amateur sports clubs in the district in line with their basic needs.

“We always support sports and our athletes”

Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal said, “When we came together during the election period, we promised to support our amateur sports clubs and today we are keeping our promise. We will continue to provide this support within our means. In this context, we contribute to 15 amateur sports clubs serving a total of 1,418 licensed athletes in our district with in-kind and cash support. We support our clubs with a total of 525 thousand liras in cash and over 500 thousand liras in-kind support. As Bayraklı Municipality, we are always by the side of sports and our athletes and will continue to do so. We raise successful athletes of the future with the courses we open. Our children also make us proud with their success. As our Municipality, we provide support to our clubs in Gümüşpala, Postacılar, Soğukkuyu, Cengizhan Artificial Turf Fields for both sports schools and training. Doğançay Field and Şehit Ümit Boz Fields continue to serve our clubs for training and competition. The maintenance and repair of our Şehit Ümit Boz Facility will be completed in September. “It will continue to serve Turkish Football on better grounds and conditions. I wish success to all our clubs in the new season,” he said.

Bayraklı Amateur Sports Clubs President Cüneyt Çelik said, “We had mentioned to our President İrfan that the ground of the Şehit Ümit Boz football field needed maintenance during the election period and one of his first jobs when he took office was to renovate it. We have received information that it will be completed and put into service soon. As amateur sports clubs, we will continue to work to make our youth in our district love sports and to raise the athletes of the future. We would like to thank our president and everyone who contributed to sports for their support. We will continue to increase our solidarity.”
